PLASTIC RECYCLING

There are 10 sites across the borough of Hounslow where you can take your plastics to be recycled. For a full list and location of these sites, including what plastics they accept, see Local Recycling Points. 

The nearest location for Chiswick residents is the car park of the main Sainsbury's store in Essex Place, off Acton Lane.

Other nearby locations are:

Somerfield, High Street, Brentford

Tesco, Mogden Lane, Isleworth

Dependent on the site, the following plastics will be collected: 

• Plastic milk, water and other drinks bottles and lids

• Plastic margarine / butter tubs

• Plastic detergent and cleaning fluid containers

• Plastic bags

• Polythene and similar plastic packaging (including bubblewrap)

• Plastic food containers/ trays / takeaway / fast food containers

• Plastic yoghurt/cream pots

All items for recycling should be 'washed and squashed' before taking to the recycling point.
